Unmissable things to do in Swansea this Winter

Now that Halloween is behind us and Christmas is just around the corner, we are all looking for things to do to get us into the Christmas spirit. With this in mind, we have compiled some unmissable winter events for you to enjoy over the festive period.

Swansea Christmas Parade

This year's event will take place on Sunday, November 20. Get ready to line the streets of the city centre to catch a glimpse of Father Christmas and to cheer on the entertainers, dancers and community organisations also walking in the parade.

This year's procession will begin at Victoria Road at around 5pm, before heading up Princess Way, Caer Street, Castle Street and High Street. From there, the procession will go towards Alexandra Road, before heading down Orchard Street and along The Kingsway.

Luminate at Margam Park

Opening from 17th November, the Luminate Wales event at Margam Park and Castle returns after a sell-out year in 2021. The spectacular, illuminated trail takes you on a captivating journey through the stunning, historic gardens of Margam Country Park. Waterfront Winterland

Enjoy Swansea’s magical winter experience as Museum Park will be transformed into Waterfront Winterland for the 2022 festive period. You will see everyone’s favourite attractions – including an ice rink, open-air ice walk, and extended Alpine Village, equipped with the 33m Observation Wheel to give you a magical view of Swansea from above.

The Waterfront Winterland will open on 8th November until 8th January 2023. More details can be found here.

Swansea Arena

For those who love theatre shows, the new state-of-the-art arena in Swansea will be home to many amazing performances during the winter period, including:

Jersey Boys, on display from 29th November to 3rd December, the Internationally acclaimed stage sensation, JERSEY BOYS is coming to Swansea Arena for the very first time!

The award-winning Bat Out of Hell show will be at the Swansea Arena from 6th December to 15th December, showcasing legendary anthems of Jim Steinman & Meat Loaf. A full list of what shows are on at the Swansea Arena can be found here.

Bingo Lingo

The Christmas Showcase of Bingo Lingo is heading to Swansea! Expect huge prizes and surprises just in time for Christmas. Bingo Lingo will be at the Swansea Arena on Friday 23rd December. Tickets are available for £18 and you can book them here.
